GAME TOGETHER 2019 – A BIG THANK YOU!

Well, I think we’re just about caught up with our sleep and back to normality here at the Everyone Can Technology & Gaming Centre! Game Together 2019 was held for the second year and took place at our fully equipped technology and gaming centre last weekend, 17th to 18th August. If somehow you managed to miss out on this party or all parties, don’t worry – we will tell you all about it now!  For those of you who were able to come along, or support us through our Twitch channel, we want to say a massive thank you and we really hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.

What went on at Game Together ’19?

Well, a whole lot of fun is what. With over 80 people joining us at the centre throughout the 24 hours, plus countless more people tuning in via our Twitch channel, we had a jam-packed day of celebrations. We even had a few strong souls who managed to stay with the staff for the full 24 hours!

Thanks to funding we received from Trafford Council Inclusive Neighbourhoods we were able to purchase everything we needed for the event, from t-shirts to food and drink! This meant that ALL the money raised went directly to our charity and the services we provide, rather than paying for the event. We can’t thank Trafford Council enough for this grant!

We had face paints, loads of gaming tournaments, food and drinks, and lots of happy people. We hosted tournaments for Mario Kart, Ding Dong, Dirt 3, Beat Saber, Gran Turismo and some arcade classics! 1st, 2nd and 3rd received some awesome goodie bags filled with treats from PDP, MSI Gaming and Ubisoft!

We managed to raise over £500 at the centre for our incredible raffle, thanks to Ubisoft we were donated an Xbox One S as the star prize (wow!!) The lucky winner was Sarah Kelso-Thompson, which I am sure her children will appreciate! We had loads of other prizes included a £50 Experience Days voucher, PS4 Games, Xbox Games, gaming goodies, hair salon vouchers and loads more! Congratulations to all our winners which we announced on video here!

A huge thanks to everyone who came to the centre and donated and bought a raffle ticket!

Our streamers

We streamed the WHOLE 24 hours on our Twitch Channel – @everyonecanuk but we weren’t alone! We had some amazing support this year from fellow streamers who streamed and fund-raised all for Everyone Can! So we’d like to say a HUGE thanks to each and every single person who gave up hours of their day to support this event. Firstly, a huge thanks to the swarm at ‘We Are Hive‘ who did the full 24 hours and set themselves some gruesome challenges along the way! They managed to smash their target and raise just over £1,500. Then a huge thanks to @Phlum who raised over £200, Melissa and Jamie who raised over £200, Coatsink who raised over £150 and Emyr (InstaSim) who raised £25!

The grand total of Game Together 2019 from streamers, our raffle and donations came to a whopping £3,000! We are thrilled, the money raised will help us provide more accessible gaming sessions, and purchase new gaming equipment!

Supporting Game Together 2020..

We’re already thinking ahead and can’t wait for Game Together 2020! If you want to support the event in any shape or form, please get in touch. Ways in which you can support us is obviously coming to the centre and gaming along with us. But, if you can’t get to the centre and LOVE gaming – how about you host your own stream? Whether it be for 24 minutes or 24 hours, we’d love your support. We can provide you with a streaming and fundraising pack! Finally, we would love to get a Sponsor for next year’s event! This would cover the costs for the event to ensure all the money raised goes direct to Everyone Can. We’d of course shout about our incredible sponsor, putting your logo on all the artwork, posters, leaflets etc and include your business in any press releases, website articles etc.

If you can help in anyway please email [email protected]
